Celebration of Independence Day at academia Campus Report
Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman Agricultural University (BSMRAU) observed the 47th Independence and National day with due respects and solemnity and festive mode at the University campus.
To mark the day, an elaborated programs have been chalked out which included, hoisting the national flag and march past at dawn, offering floral wreath, sports & children’s art competition and special prayer at the University’s central mosque.
On behalf of the University Treasurer Prof Dr Md. Ismail Hossain Mian placed floral wreaths at the Mural of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman and sculpture of ‘JoyBangla’. Students-teachers of different halls, Gonotantrik teachers association, employees association and university school also placed floral wreaths.
Prof Dr M. Mofazzal Hossain Director (Students Welfare), Prof Dr Md. Abdul Mannan Akanda, Prof Dr Md. Giasiuddin Miah, Registrar, Prof Dr M. Moynul Haque and others faculty members were present at that time.
A special prayer also offered after Zohr prayer at the university central Mosque.
Treasurer Prof Dr Md. Ismail Hossain Mian distributed the prizes among the participants of sports & children art competition. Faculty members, students, officers and employees were present at that time.
BUP
Bangladesh University of Professionals (BUP) celebrates the Independence and National Day with various day-long programmes on Sunday at its campus. In celebration of the Independence Day and National Day, an exhibition on Liberation War Affairs documents was inaugurated at BUP concourse at 0950 on 26 March titled ‘Our War Documents’. Besides a booklet on Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman was published as a tribute to the Father of the nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman. Later on a discussion was held at Bijoy Auditorium where Vice Chancellor Maj Gen Md Salahuddin Miaji, rcds, psc was present as chief guest and Pro-VC Prof Dr Nazmul Ahsan Kalimullah, BTFO was present special guest.
At that there were also present all high officials, students, faculty members. The day-long programme ended with a cultural programme organized by BUP literature and Debate Club.
BSMRMU
Bangbanbandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman Maritime University observed the Independence Day and National Day- 2017 at the temporary campus located at pallabi in the capital city. The Vice-Chancellor of the university, Rear Admiral A S M Abdul Baten graced the function as the chief guest. The Registrar, Deans, faculty members, officers, staffs and the students of the university attended the function as well. The program of the day started with the hoisting of the national flag as the sun rose. Doa mahfil and special munajat were conducted to mark the day. Along with that, selective compositions were read out on “Independence, uses of digital technology in making a happy and prosperous Bangladesh”.
Also, poems were recited. The Chief Guest, in his speech highlighted the contribution of the Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman and all the national heroes of the liberation war and urged all to keep up the true spirit and ideology of the Independence Day and the National Day for further development of the country. Later, the chief guest distributed prizes among the winners of the competition.
Milestone College
Milestone College has celebrated the 47th great Independence and National Day with due respects and solemnity. To mark the day, Milestone College authorities arranged A special discussion and colorful Cultural programme at College Central auditorium on Sunday. Founder and Adviser of Milestone college Colonel Nurun Nabi (retd.), Principal Prof Md. Shahidul Islam, Administrative principal Lt Colonel M. Kamaluddin Bhuiyan (retd), Administrative director Md. Masud Alam and Academic director Mohammad Shahjahan Hosen were present in the discussion .
All Vice Principal, departmental heads, All teacher, A large number of students and stuffs are attended the discussion and Cultural programme.
