Summit-DRU Media Cup Cricket: The New Nation move into 2nd round

The New Nation moved into the second round of the Summit-DRU Media Cup Cricket after getting walk over against The Independent in their first match at the Moulana Bhashani National Hockey Stadium on Sunday.
In the opening day’s matches at the same venue, SA TV defeated UNB by 96 runs, Jago News24.com beat Share Bizz by three wickets, Sangbad Protidin defeated Alokito Samay by 32 runs, New Age beat Sangram by 39 runs, Daily Observer defeated Ekattor TV by four wickets.
Earlier, State Minister for Labour and Employment Mujibul Haque Chunnu inaugurated the cricket meet by releasing the balloons as the chief guest,
President of DRU Jamal Uddin presided over the inaugural ceremony, while General Secretary of DRU Raju Ahmed conducted the opening ceremony.
Sports Secretary of DRU Mojibur Rahman delivered the address of welcome.
Head of Public Relations and Media Department of Summit Group Shamsuddin Haider Dalim, Public Relations Officer of Al-Arafa Islami Bank Masum Mizan, Public Relations Officer of Standard Bank Limited Mejbah Uddin Ahmed were present at the time. Besides, the other officials of DRU were also present at the time.
