Journalist hacked, mugged

Muggers hacked a journalist of a local daily and snatched Tk 12,000 and a cellphone from him in Chittagong city’s Goni Bakery area on Friday night.
Mostafa Imran Sohel of the Dainik Purbokone was returning to his Murdapur residence by a rickshaw from Cheragi Pahar intersection area.
Sohel said as he tried to resist them, they hacked him in the right forearm with a machete.
Chawk Bazar police said the victim filed a case in this connection.
