National skipper Mashrafe Bin Mortaza produced his best bowling figure in this year league enabling Kalabagan Krira Chakra to record a nerve wrecking 10 runs win over Legends of Rupganj in the rain-affected Dhaka Premier Division Cricket League held on Monday at Khan Shaheb Osman Ali Stadium at Fatullah in Narayanganj.
The match fate was decided by D/L method after abrupt rain forced to stop the play in the afternoon with Kalabagan Krira Chakra were 127 for 4 in 35.4 overs chasing a meager target of 192 set by Rupganj.
Earlier, Kalabagan Krira Chakra captain Mashrafe Mortaza turnedup a vintage bowling display to restrict Rupganj to a paltry total of 191 in 49 overs. The speedster recorded his best bowling figures in the ongoing league with six wickets for 42 runs in 10 overs. Dewan Sabbir supported him with three wickets conceding 25 runs.
Put to bat first, Legends of Rupganj were in dire straits by the half-way mark of their innings. From 5-87 after 27 overs, Sajjadul Haque saved his side from total embarrassment registering his second highest score in the league. He contributed a defiant knock of 48 from 55 with four fours and two sixers.
