Six sister concern of BPC to start movement soon

The employees and workers of six sister concern of Bangladesh Petroleum Corporation(BPC) will soon launch movement demanding separate pay-scale .Though the officials are getting salaries on new scale but the employees , workers of these organizations are not getting salaries on new scale as yet. The employees, workers of these organizations demanded pay scale with 5 points demand. In the meantime, their demand has been informed to BPC chairman. If their demands are fulfilled as per demands, they will launch movement like work shut down .
Bangladesh Oil and Gas Workers Federation sources said these organizations are being controlled as per BPC rule-1976 and in the meantime national payscale -2015 was announced and the officers of these sector bodies are getting salary with new scale but the workers, employees are not getting the new pay scale benefits.
Meanwhile President of BOAGWF Nasiruddin Ahmed Shah told that after implementation of new pay scale, a large discrimination in between the officers and the workers are traced which is not desirable. Sources said a total of 2,233 workers are working in these six sister bodies of BPC .These organizations are Eastern Refinery, LPG Ltd, Padma Oil, Meghna Petroleum, Jamuna Oil and Standard Asiatic Oil co. and the headquarters of this bodies situated in Chittagong.
