Masud Ali Khan out of acting for illness

Veteran actor Masud Ali Khan is now totally out of acting due to illness. He has to passing days lying on bed for last two years only for his sickness.
In October 2014, after returning home from the shooting spot he fell on the floor of the bathroom of his residence. Later he has been suffering from severe back pain. Now he does not say when he could return to acting. He has been passing his days only reading books, watching television and gossiping with wife Tahmina Khan who is the only assistant to take care of him.
While contacting with him Masud Ali Khan told this correspondent, “I have a son named Sumit who is now staying in USA and a daughter named Sheema who is in Dhaka. After accident I did not fully recovery from sickness. Everybody pray for me. I still miss my colleagues and busy days. I do not know when I can return to acting again. But I really miss it.”
Masud Ali Khan was born on December 1 in 1931 in Singair of Manikganj at his maternal grandfather’s residence. This December he will turn 81. During his childhood when he was a student of Class-II he first performed in a play titled Rana Protap Singh. While studying HSC in 1956 he attached with Drama Circle. His acted first movie was Sadek Khan directed Nodi O Nari. He last acted in late Khalid Mahmood Mithu’s Jonakir Alo. He retired from government service in 1988. Shajano Bagan is one of his mentionable directions on the stage.
