One month ultimatum to arrest Latif MP

Chittagong Bureau :President of Chittagongcity Awami League and former city mayor ABM Mohiuddin Chowdhury allowed more one month’s ultimatum to apprehend the lawmaker of Chittagong MA Latif for alleged distorting the portrait of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman. The ultimatum was announced at a public meeting arranged by city AL at Laldighi Maidan on Tuesday evening as Chief Guest. City AL arranged the public meeting demanding arrest and exemplary punishment of lawmaker MA Latif . Mohiuddin Chowdhury in his deliberations said protest rally against the distorting of Bangabandhu’s portrait will be arranged in every ward and thana areas for next one month and again will arrange public meeting in this ground. Mohiuddin Chowdhury said Lawmaker Latif lodged GD against me in CMP thanas and categorically blasted this GDs and said I am not afraid of GD and jail etc and never cares for jail, case etc. He said earlier the patriot citizens of Chittagong gave ultimatum to apprehend him but no response as yet to be affected and now giving final ultimatum for one month. He also announced that AL will enforce bigger movement against the lawmaker.Former Mayor further said the people of Chittagong are now agitated over the distorting of Bangabandhu’s portrait and called upon the law enforcing agencies to find out the real drugs traffickers of Chittagong and their masterminds. Mohiuddin Chowdhury further blamed some leaders of the party who are supporting the lawmaker were also the collaborators of the anti-liberation forces and the list of such leaders will be prepared aimed at trial . Vice President of City AL AKM Belayet Hossain presided over the meeting. Among others, vice president Khorshed Alam Sujan, President of women AL Hasina Mohiuddin, President of Kotwali thana AL Firoj Ahmed, Joint convenor of Jubo league Delwar Hossain Khoka, city BCL president Imran Ahmed, Jubo League leer Saifuddin Ahmed Robi FF Amal Mitra, councilor Nilu Nag, JSD City General Secretary Jasimuddin, Workers Party leader Abu Hanif spoke on the occasion.
