Tree Plantation Program at DIU
As a sensible and innovative part of academic social responsibility, Daffodil International University (DIU) has promoted green campus for ensuring sustainability. In this regard, DIU has taken a contemporary initiative by celebrating green transport distribution among promising students and arranging Tree Plantation program today on Saturday at Permanent Campus to make the campus greener.
Renowned Sculptor Prof Hamiduzzaman Khan was present as chief guest in the program. Md. Sabur Khan, Chairman, Board of Trustees, DIU was present as the Guest of Honor while Prof Dr Golam Rahman, Pro-Vice Canceller, DIU and Musa Ibrahim, 1st Bangladeshi to reach the summit of Mount Everest were present as the special guests. Presided over by Dr Mostofa Kamal, Director, Permanent Campus, the program was also addressed by Dr ABM Kamal Pasha, Head, Department of Environmental Science and Disaster Management.
While addressing Prof Hamiduzzaman Khan said, DIU is growing not ordinarily rather it is being nurtured from the souls of a dedicated team with an outstanding leadership and it will be the world class university which will bring fame for the country. I believe this will engrave into the soul of our students a sense of creating sustainable world to challenge against the climate change. While we celebrates green transport distribution among promising students and tree plantation will help to make the campus greener, he added.
