Sylhet Metropolitan Police has taken the initiative to launch an app called ‘GenieA’ to provide quick service to the people of Sylhet. DIG Abdul Quddus Chowdhury took the initiative the day after joining as SMP Commissioner and wrote an open letter to the people of the city to create public awareness about the app.
The new Police Commissioner shared this information while interacting with journalists working in Sylhet on Thursday afternoon.
Earlier, he joined as SMP Commissioner on Wednesday afternoon.
While interacting with journalists, new Commissioner Abdul Quddus Chowdhury said that the technology-based mobile app ‘GenieA’ has been launched with the aim of making Sylhet city a safe, smart and modern city.
All the necessary police assistance will be available with one click, including location sharing, notification, and complaint tracking. We hope to launch it by the beginning of October.
