New OC meets Sapahar journalists

Newly appointed Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Sapahar Police Station, Abdul Aziz, held a courtesy and exchange meeting with local journalists from the Sapahar Press Club on Saturday. The meeting took place at the OC’s office.
During the discussion, various important social issues were addressed, including drug abuse, mugging, smuggling, and ways to reduce traffic congestion at the town’s central zero point.
OC Abdul Aziz stated, “Since taking charge, I have focused on ensuring that residents could celebrate Eid safely with their families. To maintain law and order, police patrols were deployed at various key points across the upazila, supported by village police. As a result, the festivities remained peaceful.”
He further emphasized the role of the media, saying, “We need the support of journalists in the fight against corruption. I encourage you to report on social irregularities and misconduct without fear – the police will stand by you.”
The meeting was attended by several key members of the Sapahar Press Club, including General Secretary and Jaijaidin and STV Bangla correspondent Babul Akhter; Vice President Mofiz Uddin (Uttarkon); Joint Secretary Kamrul Islam (Khabar Patra); Organizational Secretary Sharif Talukder (Chandni Bazar); Finance and Office Secretary Tofael Ahmed (Dainik Sangbad); Executive Member Pradip Kumar Saha (Bhorer Darpan and Kalbela); along with journalists Ibrahim Khalil, Abdullah Ansari (Bangladesh Sangbad), and Saiful Islam Royal (Desher Kantho and Gonokantho), among others.
The press club members welcomed the new OC and pledged their support in promoting peace and justice in the community.
