New institute launched at JU

A new institute titled ‘Bangabandhu Institute of Comparative Literature and Culture’ was launched on Monday at Jahangirnagar University (JU).
JU Vice-Chancellor Professor Farzana Islam inaugurated the institute as chief guest at 10 am.
Addressing the function, JU VC urged the teachers and students of the institute to acquire knowledge on literature and culture of other languages.
He urged students to make a comparative study on Bengali language and literature with other languages.
Presided over by Director of the Institute Professor Shamim Reza, JU Treasurer Professor Sheikh Md Monzurul Huq addressed the function as special guest.
Students and teachers of the newly launched institute were present at the function.
