Former minister and BNP National Standing Committee member Amir Khasru Mahmud Chowdhury Sunday said at a commencement ceremony of the academic year of students admitted to the Chattagram Veterinary and Animal Sciences University (CVASU) for the 2023-2024 academic year that the new generation must come forward to build a new Bangladesh.
Speaking as the chief guest at the commencement ceremony, Amir Khasru Mahmud Chowdhury said that everyone should understand the change that has come to the minds of the people of Bangladesh in the context of the expulsion of fascists. Those who cannot understand, be they politicians or teachers, have no future.
The thoughts, ideas, and philosophy of every person in Bangladesh have completely changed. Those who cannot understand that, cannot grasp it, and cannot work accordingly will have a difficult time in the future of Bangladesh. Addressing the new students, he also said, “You have to be good people. If you are not a good person, education has no value.” Respect for differences of opinion should be shown in all areas. The event, held at CVASU Auditorium was attended by CVASU Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr. Mohammad Lutfur Rahman as the chief patron. The inaugural speaker was Dhaka University Treasurer Professor Dr. Md. Jahangir Alam Chowdhury. CVASU Treasurer Professor Dr. Md. Kamal, Dean of the Faculty of Food Science and Technology Professor Dr. Ferdousi Akhter and Dean of the Faculty of Fisheries Professor Dr. Sheikh Ahmad-Al-Nahid were present as special guests at the event. CVASU Director (Student Welfare) Professor Dr. Mohammad RashedulAlam presided over the event, and the university’s Proctor Professor Dr. Mohammad Mahbubur Rahman delivered the welcome address. Four new students expressed their views at the event.
