risingbd.com : Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina is going to form a new cabinet through taking the oath of office for the second consecutive term following the Awami League’s ‘massive victory’ in the much-talked-about election on January 5. President Md Abdul Hamid has already approved the 48-member new cabinet and all preparations are complete for oath taking ceremony at 3:30pm today (Sunday) at Bangabhaban. Of them, 28 ministers, 17 state ministers and two deputy ministers are likely to take oath on the occasion. The heavyweight leaders of the 14-party alliance including Awami League and Jatiya Party are expected to get position in the cabinet. Those who are going to be ministers are Syed Ashraful Islam, Nurul Islam Nahid, Matia Chowdhury, Tofael Ahmed, Amir Hossain Amu, Mohammad Nasim, Abul Maal Abdul Muhith, Asaduzzaman Noor, Obaidul Quader, Engineer Khandaker Mosharraf Hossain, Mujibul Haque, Hasanul Haque Inu, Rashed Khan Menon, Anwar Hossain Monju, Moshiur Rahman Ranga, Barrister Anisul Islam Mahmud, Mujibul Haque Chunnu, Ziauddin Ahmed Bablu and Saifuzzaman Chowdhury Jabed, Cabinet Secretary Mosharraf Hossain Bhuiyan informed the media at a press briefing in the city on Saturday evening. A total of one thousand guests including BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia have been invited to attend the oath taking ceremony, he said.
