Netherlands Cricket announces squad for BD T20I series

Netherlands Cricket announced on Wednesday the 13-member Netherlands Twenty20 International (T20I) squad for the upcoming three-match T20I series against Bangladesh.

Scott Edwards will lead the Netherlands T20I squad against Bangladesh. Netherlands Cricket team have taken part in their practice sessions under supervision of Head Coach Ryan Cook.

Netherlands will play against Bangladesh in three T20I matches at the Sylhet International Cricket Stadium. During the tour of Netherlands, the team will take part in their practice sessions and T20I matches under guidance of their Head Coach Ryan Cook. Netherlands Cricket team are scheduled to arrive in Dhaka on August 26 for their first ever bilateral series on Bangladesh soil.

Bangladesh will take on Netherlands in the first T20I on August 30, Bangladesh will face Netherlands in their second T20I on September 1, Bangladesh will meet Netherlands in their third T20I on September 3. All the matches will start at 6:00pm (Bangladesh Standard Time).

It may be mentioned that Sathira Jakir Jessy of Bangladesh will officiate as an umpire in the three-match T20I series between Bangladesh and Netherlands. Jessy is the first female umpire of Bangladesh who is going to act as an umpire in the matches for men.

The Tigers will play three T20I matches against Netherlands marking the upcoming Asian Cricket Council (ACC) Asia Cup Cricket. The Asia Cup Cricket will be held on T20I format at the different venues of the United Arab Emirates.

Netherlands T20I squad: Maxwell O’Dowd, Vikramjit Singh, Anil Nidamanuru, Scott Edwards (Captain), Noah Croes, Saqib Zulfiqar, Ryan Klein, Kyle Klein, Aryan Dutt, Paul van Meekeren, Shariz Ahmad, Ben Fletcher and Daniel Doram.
