At the end of 2022, it was announced that composer and music director Emon Saha would be taking over as director.
He is making a short film called ‘Silence: A Musical Journey.’
After a year, Emon Saha announced that he has changed his plans.
He made this movie as a full-length film and will release it in theatres.
The film is about the musical journey of a girl from a village Baul family.
It tells the story of the various struggles in the life of a Baul who came from the village to the city for the sake of music.
Emon said, “Here, I have tried to show a woman’s psychological journey as well as her life journey.
There are many obstacles and dangers in any journey in human life. In many cases, you have to compromise with your values. These are highlighted in this movie.”
Regarding the move away from the short-term plan, Emon Saha said, “I started the movie with a short-term plan. I even shot some parts.
But while making it, I realised that what I was trying to say wasn’t going to happen in a short film.
It wasn’t decided to make a full-length film after discussing it with everyone. The script is being rewritten. Some new characters have been added. Now it can be called a feature film.”
It was previously reported that Jeetu Ahsan and Zinat Sanu Swagata will star in the movie ‘Silence: A Musical Journey’.
However, the director said that in the end, neither of these two could be associated with this movie.
Symon Sadik, Neelanjona Neela, Intekhab Dinar, Azad Abul Kalam and many others played various roles in this film.
“Some parts of the film are still to be shot. I will soon complete all the work and prepare for the release of the film. I want to release the movie in theaters this year,” he also said.
Emon Saha registered the film ‘Silence: A Musical Journey’ with the Directors’ Association on July 1.
He wrote on Facebook about the matter, “Since childhood, I had dreamed of becoming a film director. I never had the time, opportunity, or courage.
Finally, with a lot of courage, I took the initiative to make a movie from my own production company.
At first, I thought of starting with a short film. Later, I saw why it wasn’t full-length. I ask for your blessings, support, and love on my new journey.”
Emon Saha’s father, Satya Saha, was involved in filmmaking as well as music. Although he did not direct, he produced dozens of films.
Satya Saha was involved in production of movies like ‘Ashikshito’, ‘Chhutir Ghonta’, ‘Binimoy’, ‘Ram Rahim John’, ‘Puroshkar’, ‘Tomar Jonnyo Pagol’.
