Viral Controversy: ‘Neela provoked me in leaked audio’

Staff Reporter :

National Citizens’ Party (NCP) leader Sarwar Tushar has responded to the recent viral audio scandal involving a woman’s voice, which actress Neela Israfill has publicly confirmed as her own.
In a lengthy Facebook post published Thursday night, Tushar addressed the controversy, stating that the now-viral audio clip was taken out of context and claiming that he was deliberately provoked during the conversation.

“Let me talk about the leaked audio,” Tushar wrote. “In the first recording, you heard that particular word from her own mouth. I only explained what she said. Please don’t judge me for a single moment in the clip. She was nudging me, step by step, toward that word—why?”
He further accused Neela of intentionally recording the call with the aim of handing it over to others. “There is enough reason to suspect that the call was made with the specific intention of recording it. She steered the conversation in a particular direction—without my knowledge. I was speaking in good faith, while she was speaking with a motive to record and leak it,” Tushar alleged.

The NCP leader also addressed rumors surrounding Neela’s role in the party. He clarified that she holds no official position or organizational responsibility within NCP.
“NCP was launched just before Ramadan. During the entire month, we had no official organizational activity, and decisions regarding responsibilities were still pending,” he wrote. “I didn’t even fully recognize all 217 members of the central committee at that point. Any interaction with her during that time wasn’t within the scope of the party’s structure.”
