Ghatokchar High School is one of the best schools in Madaripur District for its lucrative location and brilliant results.
It was established in 1963 at Ghatokchar under Madaripur Sadar Upazilla by Wajuddin Dhali, former Chairman of Kendua Union Parishad, Madaripur.
At present there are around 2,300 students and 31 teaching staff in the school.
The authorities use its ground for all types of inter school tournament.
Besides, it is the centre of PEC, JSC and SSC examination.
The school building had been constructed at the time of its establishment or before.
The eastern and the northern part of the school building had been built more than 60 years ago.
That’s why the cement plaster of its roof had deteriorated and most of the cement plaster in the wall had been loosen and destroyed.
Therefore, there were big cracks in the roof and wall.
During the rainy season, rain drops drastically upon the students.
Accident may occur due to fall of damaged plaster.
So, we urge the authority to establish a new three storied building to continue smooth academic activities of Ghatokchar High School.
