Almost two dozen political leaders are scheduled to meet Chief Adviser Professor Muhammad Yunus today (Sunday) in two separate sessions to discuss key national issues, including the upcoming elections and political reforms.
According to Chief Adviser’s Deputy Press Secretary Abul Kalam Azad Majumder, the meetings will take place at the state guest house Jamuna, the official residence of the Chief Adviser, at 5:00 PM and 6:00 PM, respectively.
In the first session, the leaders meeting with Dr. Yunus include Colonel (retd) Oli Ahmed, Mahmudur Rahman Manna, Saiful Haque, Zonayed Saki, Hasnat Qayyum, Mujibur Rahman Manju, Mujahidul Islam Selim, Khalequzzaman Bhuiyan, Tipu Biswas, Sheikh Rafiqul Islam Bablu, and Shahid Uddin Mahmud Swapan.
The second group includes Maulana Sadiqur Rahman, Maulana Rezaul Karim, Maulana Mamunul Haque, Maulana Ahmed Abdul Quader, Maulana Azizul Haque Islamabadi, Maulana Manjurul Islam Affendi, Nurul Haque Noor, Maulana Musa Bin Izhar, and Mufti Maulana Shakhawat Hossain Razi.
On Saturday, Professor Yunus also held separate meetings with leaders from the BNP, Jamaat-e-Islami, and the National Citizen Party.
