Ahead of the National Citizens’ Party’s (NCP) scheduled rally in Mymensingh on Monday, the coordinators of the Anti-Discrimination Movement held a press conference to inform local journalists about the event.
The press briefing took place on Sunday in front of the Town Hall Tarek Smriti Auditorium. The organizers announced that all preparations for the rally had been completed.
Speaking at the press conference, Ali Hossain, Member Secretary of the district committee of the Anti-Discrimination Movement, called upon people from all walks of life in the district to join the peaceful rally.
He stated that the purpose of the event is to raise awareness in favor of patriotism, democracy, and rights-based politics. He also sought everyone’s cooperation in ensuring a disciplined and non-violent demonstration.
According to the organizers, the rally will begin at 5:00 pm on Monday and will march through different parts of the city before concluding at the Central Shaheed Minar of Town Hall with a public gathering.
