NCP to launch ‘New Bangladesh Manifesto’ at Shaheed Minar
NN Online:
The National Citizen Party (NCP) is poised to formally unveil its much-anticipated `New Bangladesh Manifesto’ at the Central Shaheed Minar on Sunday, drawing leaders, supporters, and activists from Dhaka and surrounding districts.
The gathering, marked by both solemn remembrance and energetic participation, centred on justice for the martyrs of the July Movement, structural reform, and a renewed political vision for the country.
Thousands, including students and first-time voters, joined the event—reflecting growing youth engagement in national politics.
Party leaders called for a united national push to uphold justice, dignity, and democratic principles, describing the `New Bangladesh Manifesto’ as a people-centric framework for inclusive and accountable governance.
The stage was framed by banners declaring the core themes of the manifesto: “Justice. Reform. Future.”
A central message of the event was the demand for justice for those killed during the youth-led July Movement, which last year protested corruption, inequality, and political violence.
The `New Bangladesh Manifesto’, a 48-page document available in both print and digital formats, lays out NCP’s vision under six foundational pillars aimed at reshaping Bangladesh’s political and institutional future.
