The National Citizen Party (NCP) has nominated Akhtar Hossain as its candidate for the Rangpur-4 (Pirgacha-Kaunia) constituency in the upcoming national parliamentary elections.
Party convener Nahid Islam made the announcement around 10:30 pm on Tuesday (1 July) during a roadside rally held at the Kaunia Bus Stand in Rangpur, as part of NCP’s “July March to Build the Nation” campaign.
Speaking at the rally, Nahid Islam expressed confidence that Kaunia-Pirgacha would see real development and progress under Akhtar Hossain’s leadership. The party’s chief coordinator, Hasnat Abdullah, introduced Hossain as a proud native of Kaunia.
The event, conducted by Sarjis Alam, featured addresses from several central NCP leaders including Samantha Sharmin and Tasnim Zara.
