Bangladeshi actress Nawshaba has now stepped beyond the borders of her own country to make her debut in Kolkata cinema.
On September 26, during the Durga Puja festival, her film ‘Joto KandoKolkatay’ was released in various theaters across Kolkata.
In filmmaker Anik Dutta’s movie, she plays the role of a Bangladeshi girl who comes to Kolkata in search of her roots. Opposite her is popular Kolkata actor AbirChatterjee.
Nawshaba is extremely excited about the release of her first Tollywood film. Although she could not be present for the promotions, her heart remains in Kolkata.
In a recent interview with Indian media, she expressed her emotions, saying, ‘What I had once dreamed of is now coming true.
Even though I am not there physically, it feels like my soul is wandering through the streets of Kolkata.’
The actress is a little sad about not being present during the release. She told the media, ‘It was only because of visa complications that I couldn’t go. Honestly, I feel very bad. I really wanted to attend the premiere show.
