National sculpture exhibition is going on at the Sculpture Gallery of the National Art Plaza of Bangladesh Shilpakala Academy in the city’s Segunbagicha area now.
Bangladesh Shilpakala Academy (BSA) has organised the 10-day long exhibition.
Cultural Affairs Minister Asaduzzaman Noor MP
inaugurated the exhibition as chief guest, while
Director General of BSA Liaquat Ali Lucky presided over the programme.
Prominent sculptor Syed Abdullah Khalid and noted artist Samarjit Roy Chowdhury attended the ceremony as special guests.
A total of 105 sculptures of 78 sculptors have been put on display at the exhibition.
Earlier on Saturday Director General of BSA Liaquat Ali Lucky, Director of BSA Fine Arts Department Anowar Hossain, Assistant Director AM Mustaq Ahmed and Instructor Pradyut Kumar Das spoke at the conference.
The exhibition is scheduled to remain open for all from 11:00am to 7:00pm every day until May 20. n
