Nat’l Primary Education Academy Bill passed in JS

The National Primary Education Academy Bill, 2024 was passed in the parliament on Wednesday, aiming to strengthen professional efficiency and ensure time-befitting training and research activities in primary education sector.

State Minister for Primary and Mass Education Rumana Ali moved the bill, which was unanimously passed by voice votes in the House, with Speaker Dr Shirin Sharmin Chaudhury in the chair, reports BSS.

Now there is a National Primary Education Academy (NEP) in Mymensingh. It is established under an Ordinance. Now it is being brought under a separate new law.

The enactment of the new law will replace the Government Educational and Training Institutions Ordinance, 1961.
