National Fisheries Week-2024 was inaugurated on Tuesday in Rangpur and to be continued from till 5 this month in Rangpur with the theme of “Bharbo Mache ModerDeshGarbo Smart Bangladesh”, rally, discussion meeting and prize distribution.
On the occasion of the National Fisheries Week organised by the District Administration and Directorate of Fisheries, Rangpur on Wednesday, a discussion meeting was held in the meeting room of the District Commissioner, prizes were distributed among the best fish farmers. Later, in front of the Deputy Commissioner’s office, balloons were launched to inaugurate the fish week and a small rally was held in the office premises.
Additional Deputy Commissioner Hasibul Hasan Rumi presided over the event and Deputy Director of Fisheries Department Rangpur Division Saifuddin Yahia, Rangpur Additional Superintendent of Police Tariqul Islam, Rangpur Metropolitan Awami League convener Dr. Delwar Hossain were present as special guests.
District Fisheries Officer Badruzzaman Manik, Metropolitan Awami League Joint Convener Abul Kashem, District Branch Joint Convener Professor Majed Ali Babul etc. spoke at this time. At this time, the representatives of fisheries of Rangpur district were present.
