Nat’l Co-operative Day observed in Kishoreganj

The 53 rd National Cooperatives Day was observed on Saturday in Kishoreganj as elsewhere in the country with the theme ‘Somobaye Gorbo Desh, Boishommohin Bangladesh.
Department of Co-operative including District Administration of Kishoreganj have chalked out elaborate programmes marking the day. Deputy Commissioner (DC), also District Magistrate (DM) Fouzia Khan and Superintendent of Police (SP) Mohammad Hasan Chowdhury BPM(Bar) attended as chief and special guest, while District Co-operative Officer (Acting) Shahanara Hasin in the chair.
It was addressed among others by, ADC(General) Rubel Mahamud, Jamaat -e-Islami district Ameer Principle Ramzan Ali, BNP district vice-president Advocate Shariful Islam and Sadar Co-operative Officer.
Kishoreganj, DC Fouzia Khan said, the key element of poverty alleviation is economic development, and the best way of economic development is ‘cooperative’.
