Nationwide Vitamin A campaign set to begin Saturday

A nationwide Vitamin A Plus campaign will launch on Saturday to provide Vitamin A capsules to all children aged six to 59 months, aiming to boost child health and immunity.

As part of the countrywide campaign, children aged 6-11 months will be provided blue capsules, while children aged 12-59 months will receive red capsules, said a PID handout.

With the slogan of “Feed vitamin A, reduce the risk of child mortality,” the campaign will be carried out at all districts, upazilas and unions throughout the country.

This year, there is a target to provide Vitamin A plus capsule to 2.26 crore children through 1,20,000 EPI Centres across the country.
