NN Online:
A nationwide low pressure in gas supply is expected from January 1 to January 4, lasting three days, due to the suspension of operations at a floating storage and regasification unit (FSRU) LNG station.
Due to repair and maintenance work of one FSRU, the pressure in gas supply will remain low for 72 hours from January 1 across the country, said Petrobangla in a statement regretting the temporary inconvenience to the customers during the period.
Currently, the country has two FSRUs which supply about 1000-1100 million cubic feet of gas per day (MMCFD) of the total gas production of 2900 MMCFD.
Of the two FSRUs, one can supply 500 MMCFD gas and another 600 MMCFD gas.
