National Age Group Swimming begins tomorrow

The Saif Powertec 36th National Age Group Swimming & Diving Competition will begin tomorrow at the Syed Nazrul Islam National Swimming Complex in the capital’s Mirpur.

Marking the upcoming mega swimming and diving meet, a press conference was held at the Dutch-Bangla Bank Auditorium in Bangladesh Olympic Association Bhaban on Thursday.

Vice-President of Bangladesh Swimming Federation (BSF) Abdul Hamid, General Secretary of BSF MB Saif, Joint-Secretary of the Federation Md Salim Mia were present at the conference, among others.

Bangladesh Swimming Federation will arrange the swimming competition under auspices of Saif Powerte Limited.

The four-day long swimming & diving competition will come to an end on May 28.

The budget of the competition has been estimated at Taka 34 lakh 20 thousand and 250 and Saif Powertec Limited will bear total expenditure.

Around 750 participants including swimmers, divers and officials will take part in the four-day long swimming and diving competition.

President of Bangladesh Swimming Federation and Chief of Naval Staff Admiral Mohammad Nazmul Hassan will inaugurate the swimming competition as the chief guest, while Managing Director of Saif Powertec Limited Tarafder Md. Ruhul Amin will be present with him as the special guest.

Minister for Youth and Sports Nazmul Hassan, MP, will distribute the prizes among the winners as the chief guest, while President of Bangladesh Swimming Federation and Chief of Naval Staff Admiral Nazmul Hassan will be with him as the special guest on the concluding day.
