Nasiruddin calls for unity to build discrimination-free BD

National Citizen Party (NCP) Chief Coordinator Nasiruddin Patwary has emphasised that all political parties must unite to combat conspiracies and work together to create a new Bangladesh free from discrimination.

He said, “It is possible to build a beautiful Bangladesh of the future by taking equal part of everyone. NCP’s fight against banning Awami League will continue. A time frame has not been set yet for banning Awami League. A timeframe will be given later through the movement. NCP’s fight against those who oppose banning Awami League will continue.”

He made these remarks while speaking as the chief guest at the Iftar and Doa Mahfil organised by the NCP Sylhet District Committee in honour of the family members of the injured and martyred in the July Revolution, administration, religious leaders, political leaders, various professionals and the general public at an elite community center in Sylhet city on Saturday.

He demanded the formulation of a charter and speedy trial of the genocide, keeping in mind the spirit of the July mass uprising.

Nasiruddin Patwary said, “We will resist those who try to bring the Awami League back into politics with a strong hand, along with the people. In addition, the movement to ban the Awami League and cancel its registration will continue.”

He sought everyone’s cooperation in the movement to save the country.

NCP Central Joint Convener Ehteshamul Haque, Arpita Shyama Dev, Anik Roy, Central Joint Member Secretary Pritam Das, Dr Tasneem Zara spoke as special guests at the Iftar Mahfil.

NCP Central Committee Member Barrister Nurul Huda Junaid delivered the welcome speech on behalf of the organising committee.

Former Mayor of SCC Ariful Haque Chowdhury, former President of Sylhet Press Club and Editor of Daily Jalalabad Muktabis-un-Noor, former President of Sylhet Press Club and Editor of Daily Sylhet Mirror Ahmed Noor, VC of SUST Professor Dr A M Sarwaruddin Chowdhury, Ameer of Metropolitan Jamaat Fakhrul Islam, family members of July Uprising victims and martyrs and leaders of various political, social and professional organisations were present at the Iftar Mahfil.
