The Anti-Corruption Commission has filed a case against 14 people, including two sons of Tarikat Federation Chairman and Chattogram-2 MP Syed Najibul Bashar Maizbhandari, for embezzling around Tk 39.40 crore.
ACC’s Dhaka-1 coordinated district office assistant director Md Saiful Islam lodged the case against Najibul Bashar Maizbhandari’s two sons – Syed Tyebul Bashar Maizbhandari and Syed Aftabul Bashar Maizbhandari- and 12 others on Sunday.
The anti-graft body decided to register the lawsuit after it found proof that the accused embezzled about Tk 39.40 crore of loan from financial institution Prime Finance and Investment.
