Nahid addresses mass gathering in Nilphamari

Convener of National Citizen’s Party (NCP) Nahid Islam declared that his party will publish manifesto of July uprising of 2024 in a big mass gathering at the central Shaheed Minar in Dhaka to held on 3 August.

He was addressing a roadside rally at Chowrangi intersection in the district town of Nilphamari on Thursday.

On the occasion of one year of July uprising and fall of autocracy, NCP arranged nationwide ‘ DeshGorte July Podojatra ‘ and the rally of in Nilphamari on Thursday was a part of the programme.

Before this, on Wednesday, they visited Rangpur and Gaibandha and addressed meetings.

In his speech as chief speaker, Nahid Islam said, in order to realizing the mass aspiration, we have to throw away the existing Mujibbadi constitution and frame a new one and this is our commitment.

At the beginning of the meeting, Nahid introduced the audience with MdRafiqul Islam the father of martyred Rubel who as a student of class-7 shed blood in July uprising in last year. The crowed present greeted the martyred’s father with huge applause.

At that time, he ( Nahid) vowed that they would never betray with the blood of the martyrs and must realize the dream of Rubel which he cherished.

Hasanat Abdullah, the chief organizer of the southern part of Bangladesh of NCP in his speech said that those who want to keep old and wasted system to prevail in the country would face the same fate as that of fallen autocrat and murderer Sheikh Hasina.

“We’re committed to set up democratic and discrimination free society in the country,” he added.

Presided over by Abdul Mazid, the co-ordinator of the district unit of the party, themeeting was steered by SarzisAlam, the chief organizer of NCP in country’s northern region.

In the meeting other speakers demanded the quick realization of Teesta Master plan for greater development of country’s backward northern part.

On way to Nilphamari from Rangpur, the central leaders visited the grave of July martyr Sazzad in Saidpur and offered prayers.

After conclusion of the meeting they headed for Panchagarg to attend party programme.
