A six-wicket haul by Mustafizur Rahman powered the Tigers to defeat the hosts United States of America (USA) by 10 wickets in the third Twenty20 International (T20I) match at Houston in Texas of the USA on Saturday night. USA won the three-match T20I series 2-1.
The left-arm pacer bowled extremely well and finished his spell as 4-1-10-6. It is his career best bowling performance in T20I cricket. Mustafizur Rahman was adjudged the Man of the Match for his terrific bowling performance.
Chasing USA’s paltry total of 104 for the loss of nine wickets, Bangladesh sailed home making 108 for the loss of none when they had 50 balls to spare.
Openers Tanzid Hasan and Soumya Sarkar played the key role to reach the winning target scoring together 108 runs for the unbroken opening stand.
Tanzid Hasan remained unbeaten with 58 runs. His 42-ball innings was belted with five fours and three sixes.
Soumya Sarkar remained unbeaten with 43 runs. He hit four fours and two sixes in his 28-ball knock.
Earlier, Andries Gous, Corey Anderson, Sheyan Jahangir and Shadley van Schalkwyk could reach the double digit figures scoring 27, 18, 18 and 12 runs respectively.
Rishad Hossain, Shakib Al Hasan and Tanzim Hasan took one wicket each instead of seven, 23 and 32 runs respectively.
