Mustafizur Rahman took one wicket for 33 runs against India in the ‘Super Four’ match of Asia Cup on Wednesday. So, Mustafizur Rahman plucked 150 wickets playing 118 matches. Ish Sodhi of New Zealand also bagged 150 wickets playing 126 matches. Thus, Mustafizur Rahman and Ish Sodhi are jointly third highest wicket taker in T20I cricket of the world.
If Mustafizur Rahman can get one or more wickets against Pakistan on Thursday in the ‘Super Four’ match, Mustafizur Rahman will alone the third highest wicket grabber in T20I cricket and will cross Ish Sodhi.
The ‘Cutter Boy’ Mustafizur Rahman of Bangladesh was jointly third highest wicket taker in T20I cricket of Bangladesh. Mustafizur Rahman and Shakib Al Hasan jointly picked up 149 wickets each. Mustafiz captured 149 wickets playing 117 matches. On the other hand, Shakib Al Hasan claimed 149 wickets playing 129 matches.
Rashid Khan of Afghanistan captured 173 wickets playing 103 matches. He is the highest wicket taker in the T20I cricket of the world. Tim Southee of New Zealand took the second spot with 164 wickets playing 126 matches.
Mustafizur Rahman gained 175 wickets playing 112 One Day International (ODI) matches. The left-arm pacer bagged 31 wickets playing 15 Test matches.
It may be mentioned that Mustafizur Rahman played Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) T20 cricket lot of times. He took part in the Indian Premier League (IPL) T20 cricket for lot of times. He also played in the Lanka Premier League (LPL), a T20 cricket tournament. Besides, He compete in the Pakistan Super League (PSL),which is also a T20 tournament.
