Mustafiz gets head injury

‘Cutter Master’ Mustafizur Rahman of Comilla Victorians got injury in his head during the practice session of Comilla Victorians at the Zahur Ahmed Chowdhury Stadium (ZACS) in Chattogram on Sunday.

The left-arm pacer got injury while he was fielding in the net at the ZACS). He was injured when a delivery of his West Indian teammate Mathew Forde hit in his head.

After getting injury, he was sent to Imperial Hospital in Chattogram on the same day. It was a big blow for Comilla Victorians as the left-arm pacer is uncertain today’s match against Sylhet Strikers at the ZACS in Chanttogram.

Mustafizur Rahman underwent city scan at the hospital. Besides, the surgeon of that hospital stitched his head where he got injury.

Team Physio of Comilla Victorians SM Zahidul Islam Sazal said, ” After watching the report of his city scan report, we are satisfied that it is an external injury.

There is no internal bleeding inside his head. Mustafizur Rahman is now intensive care under the physio team of Comilla Victorians. Besides, the surgeon successfully stitched where he was hurt.”

Sazal said, ” We have known that he is now out of danger. He can speak thoroughly and can tell his name without any interruption. He can do communication in all matter. We hope that no concussion will be needed for him.”

Sazal also said, ” We have got neurosurgeon here, who has taken care of him. His city scan report is also normal.

We have kept communication with the Chief Physician of the Bangladesh Cricket Board Dr. Debashish Chowdhury. He has watched the all reports.

There is no situation created to send Mustafiz in Dhaka. His condition is not critical.”

Mustafizur Rahman of Comilla Victorians captured 11 wickets playing nine matches. So, if Comilla have to play without him, it will be a big blow for Comilla Victorians.
