The Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) has decided to investigate allegations against journalist MunniSaha and her husband, Kabir Hossain Taposh, regarding the acquisition of unexplained wealth and transactions worth Tk134 crore in their bank accounts.
ACC’s Director General (Prevention), Md Akhter Hossain, confirmed the matter on Thursday.
Akhter Hossain said that the ACC will probe allegations of Tk134 crore in bank transactions, a current balance of Tk14 crore, and the acquisition of unexplained wealth linked to Munni Saha and her husband, the proprietor of MS Promotion.
Earlier, in October, the Bangladesh Financial Intelligence Unit (BFIU) had sought details of all bank accounts belonging to Munni Saha.
