Sheikh Arif Bulbon :
More than two decades ago, Ayesha Salma Mukti made a name for herself by acting opposite popular actor Tauquir Ahmed in drama ‘Agnigiri’ directed by Minhazur Rahman on Ekushey TV.
Since then, she has acted in many popular dramas. She has also won the love of the audience by acting in movies.
However, this is the first time Mukti has hosted two episodes of the ‘Nobabi Bhoj’ programme aired on BTV.
One episode featured actress Nadia Ahmed as a guest, while another episode featured dancer and actress Nisa.
Mukti received a good response after airing two episodes on BTV.
Meanwhile, today is Mukti’s birthday.
Mukti, a resident of Uttara in the capital, said she has no plans for her birthday. Most of her friends live abroad now, so it’s not like she’ll plan anything in advance. However, today’s birthday might be celebrated with her best friend (YWCI’s friend) Moon.
Regarding talking about the presentation and birthday, Mukti told this correspondent, “The time was suddenly presented by me. I was offered by BTV. I thought about starting the presentation from my long experience in acting and seeing how it goes. I presented the two episodes quite well. I found them quite enjoyable. I received quite a good response after the broadcast. If I get the opportunity to present a good programme in the future, I might consider it. I don’t have any special plans for my birthday. Since my mother is at home and most of my friends are out of the country, I’m not making any special plans. If it were my mother, she would probably cook some of my favourite dishes. But for now, I just ask everyone to pray that Allah will keep me well and healthy. And in the future, I hope I can act in some dramas with good stories.”
Mukti’s first commercial was Tariq Anam Khan’s ‘Surf Excel’. After that, she worked as a model in several other commercials.
Mukti’s first film, ‘Tumi Aachho Hridoye’, directed by the late Hasibul Islam Mizan, was released. Kayes Arju starred opposite Mukti in this film. After that, she also acted in the movie ‘Jor Kore Bhalobasho Hoina’ with Shakib Khan.
Mukti is daughter of late freedom-fighter Sheikh Abdar Rahman andRokeya Rahman.
