Mukta Khatun, a master degree student of Philosophy Department of Dhaka University emerged champion in the Annual Sports Competition of Shamsun Nahar of Dhaka University (DU) while Farzana Habib Labonya, a second year honours student of Art & Drama Department of DU became runner-up on Wednesday. The sports meet was held at the Central Play Ground. After the sports competition, Vice-Chancellor of Dhaka University Professor Dr AAMS Arefin Siddique distributed the prizes among the winners as the chief guest.Earlier, Pro-Vice-Chancellor (Administration) of DU Professor Dr Sahid Akter Hussain inaugurated the sports meet in the morning. Provost of Shamsun Nahar Hall Professor Dr Sajeda Banu, the residential teachers of the Hall and the officials of the Physical Education Centre of DU were present at the time.
