US Ambassador Dan Mozena begins his weeklong visit in different districts today. The US envoy will visit Pabna, Bogra, Joypurhat, Gaibandha, Rangpur and Lalmonirhat, according to a press release issued by the US Embassy here on Saturday.
The visit is a continuation of the Ambassador’s pledge to visit all 64 districts in Bangladesh.
During the visit, Mozena and US Agency for International Development (USAID) Mission Director Janina Jaruzelski will participate in the closing ceremony of the ‘USAID Gender Fair’ to be held in Begum Rokeya University, Rangpur. He will also visit some of the local business establishments and key commercial sites of the region.
Additionally, the Ambassador will meet with local government officials, police superintendents, and civil society during the tour of the districts and will enjoy some of the cultural and historical sites of the region.
