Entertainment Report :

Ahead of the upcoming Puja festival, three films have been released in theaters across the country.

These are Mostafizur Rahman Manik’s ‘Swapne Dekha Rajkonna’, Maksud Hossain’s ‘saba’, and S.M. Shafiul Azam’s ‘Uddyman Surja’.

In addition, ‘Bachelor in Trip’ is scheduled to release on october 3 for the festival. However, these films have not generated much buzz.

The theater owners themselves do not seem very interested in these movies. They have been released rather quietly.

‘Swapne Dekha Rajkonna ‘ is a love story, featuring Ador Azad and Nishat Nawwar Salwa in the lead roles.

‘Saba’ tells the story of a girl struggling with her ailing mother. Mehjabin Chowdhury plays the titular role.

The screenplay was written by Maksud Hossain and Trilora Khan. Maksud Hossain was inspired by his own life experiences to make the film.

In his words, ‘Saba is essentially a story about the courage to let go and the power of love.’

The film premiered at the Toronto Film Festival last september and was subsequently screened at nearly a dozen international film festivals. ‘Uddyman Surja’ is based on the story of the 1971 Liberation War.

Produced by Linet Films, the film’s story, dialogue, and screenplay were written and directed by S.M. Shafiul azam. Sadman Samir and Kanta Noor play the lead roles.

Meanwhile, ‘Bachelor in Trip’ is set to release on October 3, right after Durga Puja.

The film, directed by Nasim Sahnik, follows a group of bachelors traveling to Kuakata for a post-COVID refreshment trip.

The cast includes Abdun Noor Sajal, Shirin Shila, Kayes Arju, Kochi Khandakar, and Mukit Zakaria, among others.
