Mousumi Mou getting response

Before Eid, the song ‘Chumbok Prem’ was released from Urbashi Gaaner Shiri. Mousumi Mou, a new
generation singer, came to discuss this song. The lyrics and music of the song are composed by the national award winning lyricist Plabon Koreshi. Music arranged by
‘Jingle Guru’ Ripon Khan.
Before Eid, three original songs of Mousumi Mou were also released. The song titled ‘Ki Emon Dosh Korechhi,’ which lyrics and music were composed by Molla Jalal and music was arranged by Mannan Mohammad, was released under the banner of Tritaal Music. The song titled ‘Piriter Atha,’ which lyrics and tune were composed by Jashim, was released by Sangeeta, while the third song titled ‘Anurager Bina,’ which lyrics and tune were composed by London expatriate Dr Sohel Masud, was released under the banner
of Rain Music.
Mousumi Mou thinks some more of her original songs are waiting, which will add a new dimension to her career if these are to be released. In her long musical career, she has almost 20 albums in the markets, both solo and mixed.
Mousumi Mou, hailed from Faridpur, has a weakness for music since childhood. The music that was handed down to Mou by her grandfather, Lal Mohammad Khan and her mother, Ratna Begum. She received
training in classical music from Ustad Ashit Dey. Noted Baul artiste Shafi Mondal is her
master of folk songs. Currently, she is regularly practicing music
here as a registered artiste of Bangladesh Shilpakala Academy. She has performed on almost all the TV channels of
the country.
Mousumi Mou is not only a singer but also regularly seen in TV
dramas. She has acted in
numerous TV dramas. Her performance in stage plays. That’s why her regular presence in stage plays. She is a regular member of Ananta Hira and Nuna Afroz’s ‘Prangone Mor’ theater group. She is regularly performing in dramas ‘Bibadi Sargam’, ‘Condemn Cell’, and ‘Hasan Janer Raja’. In professional life, she
is an apprentice lawyer. She is also very busy with the legal profession.
By coming to Dhaka and getting involved with the theatre, Mou got involved in the cultural arena. Since then she has been moving forward.
Whilse asking acting not singing? In response to the question of which one she feels more attracted to,
Mou replied to this correspondent, “I know why it is difficult to say this because I am fighting with both
acting and singing. I love both mediums more. So I can’t separate any of them.”
