Moumita will sing in memory of Salman Shah on Eid

Even after 28 years of his death, Bangladeshi cinema’s one of the most popular film actor, and the most fashionable late hero Salman Shah is at the top of the audience.

On March 25, 1993, Salman Shah made his debut in Bengali cinema by acting in the movie ‘Keyamat Theke Keyamat’ directed by late Sohanur Rahman Sohan.

After about four years, he presented many popular movies to the audience.

He died on September 6, 1996.
Since the death of this hero, various programmes have been aired on TV channels remembering him at different times. In line with that, the upcoming Eid-ul-Azha Channel-S will air a special musical programme in memory of late Salman Shah. Music artiste of this generation Moumita Barua will sing songs in this programme.

Moumita said that paying tribute to Salman Shah, she will sing the songs ‘Prithibite Sukh Bole Jodi Kichhu Theke Thake’, ‘Tumi Mor Jiboner Bhabna’, ‘Ekhonto Somoy Bhalobashar’, ‘Tumi Amar Moner Manush’, ‘Tumi Amar Emon e Ekjon’, and ‘Ekhane Dujone Nirjone’ to the audience in the programme.

The recording of the songs was completed on June 3.

Regarding talking about singing these songs in the Eid special programme, Moumita Barua told this correspondent,
“I first heard the story of hero Salman Shah from my family.

Then, I started watching his movies when I was a little older.

What a handsome hero he was, just like in acting as well as in terms of fashion.

It was a great honor to be able to sing in tribute to a hero like him.

Thanks to Channel-S family for giving me an opportunity to sing about my favourite hero in such an event.

Everyone is humbly requested to watch the Eid programme.

Meanwhile, Moumita also sang in Ferdous Ara hosted musical programme ‘Gaaner Oparey’ on Ekushey Television.
Soon her episode will be aired on Ekushey TV, Moumita also said.
