A mother and her minor son were crushed under the wheel of an intercity train Teesta Express at Paschim Nayapar area in the town yesterday afternoon.
The victims were identified as Salma Begum, 36, wife of Saudi expatriate Nur e Alam and her four years minor son Fazbir Ahmed at Dewanpara area of the town.
Railway police said Salma Begum lived with her two sons in Dewanpara.
On Sunday Salma went to outside the home with her younger son Fazbir in the morning to draw some money from the local bank.
At about 4:30 pm Salma Begum and her son Fazbir were crashed under the wheels of Dhaka bound Teesta express near Dewanganj station.
After getting on information police rush to the spot and recovered the bodies and sent it to Jamalpur General Hospital morgue for autopsy.
