Entertainment Report :
Popular folk singer and the Member of Parliament Momtaz Begum scored a hat-trick at the National Film Awards.
In 2014, Masud Pathik’s Nekabborer Mohaproyan, in 2016, Hasibur Reza Kallol’s Sottwa and in the newly announced 2019 National Film Awards, again Masud Pathik’s Maya: The Lost Mother was awarded as the best singer for rendering play-back song in the movie.
Momtaz is delighted to have scored a hat-trick at the National Film Awards.
While sharing her feelings in this regard she said, “This is my first love, my first prize because I think I will alive in the love of the audience. I will be inspired to render song. I am really excited to score a hat-trick at the National Film Awards. This award has repeatedly made me more aware of one thing and that is that it is better to sing less than to sing more. Like a few days ago, I rendered play-back song in Mir Sabbir’s movie Raat Jaga Phul, which was my only rendered play-back song in 2020.”
Momtaz gave thanks to the members of the Jury Board of the National Film Awards. She also expressed her gratitude to director Masud Pathik because he won the first national film award by singing in his movie.
