Senior photojournalist Moin Uddin Ahmed and Assistant Editor Farrukh Khosru of the New Nation were elected Unit Chief and Deputy Unit Chief respectively under Dhaka Union of Journalists (DUJ) for the next two years.
The committee was formed unanimously in presence of the journalists and the employees at the office room of the New Nation on Wednesday.
DUJ General Secretary Akter Hossain and Organising Secretary A Zihadur Rahman Zihad attended the meeting which was presided over by Senior Sports Reporter Md Sabbir Hossain.
The meeting was attended by Md Arif Bulban, Aminul Hasib Chowdhury, Md Nurul Islam, Sharif Khan, Reza Mahmud and Al Mamun Harun Ur Rashid.
New Nation General Manager Md Moazzem Hossain, Advertising Manager Jahangir Alam Masud, Chief Accountant Md Omar Faruq Mondal, and Computer In-Charge Md Shah Alam welcomed the new Unit.
DUJ leaders handed over the DUJ Constitution and a copy of the resolution book to the newly elected Unit Chief and Deputy Unit Chief.
