League leaders Dhaka Mohammedan Sporting Club Limited will take on Youngmens Club Fakirerpool today in their ninth match of the Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) Football at Martyr Dhirendranath Dutta Stadium in Cumilla.
The match will kick-off at 2:45pm
Unbeaten Mohammedan Sporting Club Limited gained maximum 16 points from eight matches, while Youngmens Club Fakirerpool earned six points as many outings.
In the day’s other match, reigning champions Bashundhara Kings will face Dhaka Wanderers Club at Shaheed Barkat Stadium in Gazipur. The match will begin at 2:45pm.
Bangladesh Police Football Club will meet Rahmatganj MFS in the day’s another match at Rafique Uddin Bhuiyan Stadium in Mymensingh.
Title aspirants Dhaka Abahani Limited took the second spot collecting 19 points playing eight matches. If Dhaka Abahani win the Saturday’s match against Brothers Union Dhaka Abahani will earn 22 points. That means no team have capability to level with Mohammedan.
Earlier, favourite Mohammedan faced Dhaka Abahani, Bashundhara Kings and Rahmatganj MFS but they could not win against Mohammedan. Mohammedan will be under pressure in today’s match. On the other hand, Fakirerpool have nothing to lose. If Fakirerpool win it will not be impossible.
Bashundhara Kings took the fourth spot bagging 14 points from eight matches.
Rahmatganj MFS took the second position gaining 15 points playing eight matches.
Brothers Union took the fifth spot with 14 points from as many matches. By virtue of better run rate, Bashundhara Kings took the fourth position.
Bangladesh Police Football Club took the seventh position bagging seven points from eight matches.
Dhaka Wanderers Club took the ninth position with four points from as many outings.
