Dhaka Mohammedan Sporting Club Limited defeated Chattogram Abahani Limited 6-0 in their match of the Federation Cup Football at the Bashundhara Kings Arena in the capital on Tuesday.
Mohammedan led the first half by two goals to nil.
Mohammedan’s Uzbek recruit Muzafforov put his team ahead by an accurate shot in the 10th minute of the play.
Mohammedan’s Malian recruit Souleymane Diabate doubled the margin using a pass of his teammate Arif at the Abahani danger zone in the 15th minute of the game.
Diabate got the ball at the Abahani D-box after the ball bounced back touching the Abahani goalie but Diabate’s shot went wide.
After the lemon-break, Chittagong Abahani got an easy opportunity. Tawhidur Sabuz’s shot was cleared by Mohammedan defender Riyadul Hasan Rafi from goalline just starting of the second half.
Arif made it 3-0 by a header using a cross of his teammate Zisan in the 52nd minute of the match.
Zisan increased the tally into 4-0 in the 68th minute of the match.
Sourav Dewan made it 5-0 by tapping the ball capitalizing a cross of his teammate Arif in the 77th minute of the clash.
Jewel of Mohammedan sealed the fate of the match by scoring a goal just few moments before the long whistle.
