Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) newcomers Noakhali Express have signed experienced Afghan all-rounder Mohammad Nabi, who will join the squad after the ILT20 tournament.
Nabi, a former Fortune Barishal player, has previously represented five different BPL franchises.
Ahead of the auction, Noakhali Express secured Sri Lankan wicketkeeper-batter Kushal Mendis and Johnson Charles. While Mendis has played extensively in PSL, IPL, LPL, and SA T20 leagues, this will be his first BPL appearance.
Due to Sri Lanka’s three-match T20 series against Pakistan in January, Mendis will temporarily leave BPL duty, and Avishka Fernando is set to join the team as his replacement, according to a source.
Khaled Mahmud Sujon will serve as the head coach, completing the management of the new franchise.
Sylhet Titans have added a new dimension to their squad ahead of the upcoming Bangladesh Premier League (BPL), bringing in Pakistani fast bowler Salman Irshad. The addition of Irshad strengthens their pace attack and adds international experience to the team.
The franchise has also secured the services of another Pakistani pace veteran, Mohammad Amir before the auction. In addition, talented Pakistani all-rounder Saim Ayub was signed.
Sylhet have strengthened their lineup ahead of the BPL by signing overseas players Angelo Mathews and Aaron Jones from the players’ auction.
