Mobile court fines 10 establishments in Sherpur

A mobile court in Sherpur, Bogura, fined 1 lakh 12 thousand 500 taka to 10 establishments for various irregularities related to medicines, food, cosmetics and measurement standards. The drive was conducted by Sherpur Upazila Nirbahi Officer and Executive Magistrate Ashiq Khan on Monday.

At that time, Rifa Medicine Corner was fined 6 thousand 500 taka, City Pharmacy 8 thousand, Messrs. Haque Pharmacy 3 thousand, Ma Medical Hall 10 thousand, Messrs. Meem Pharmacy 15 thousand taka.

Under the BSTI Act 2018, Saudia Dairy and Food Products was fined Tk 25,000, under the Weights and Measures Act 2018, Abdullah Dahi and Mishtanna Bhandar was fined Tk 10,000, Prant Dahi and Mishtanna Bhandar was fined Tk 10,000, Muslima Dahi Ghar Plus was fined Tk 5,000, and Joy Dahi Bhandar was fined Tk 10,000. Present at the time were Bogra Assistant Director (Drug Administration) Marumay Sarkar, Bogra BSTI Field Officer Shahanur Hossain Khan, Inspector (Metrology) Shah Alam Palash Khan, representatives of the relevant organizations, and various officials of the Department of Drug Administration and BSTI served as prosecutors.
