Mohammad Mizanur Rahman Munshi has taken over as the new Superintendent of Police (SP) of Narayanganj district. He officially assumed his duties on Saturday afternoon. Senior officials from the district administration and police welcomed him with flowers. According to sources, Mohammad Mizanur Rahman Munshi joined the Bangladesh Police through the 25th BCS as an Assistant Superintendent of Police. Originally from Cumilla, he began his career as ASP of the Ukhiya Circle. He later served in the Chattogram Metropolitan Police, RAB, and the Police Bureau of Investigation (PBI) as Additional Superintendent of Police. He also served as Superintendent of Police in Noakhali and most recently in Panchagarh
district.

Officials believe his extensive administrative experience will help make law enforcement activities in Narayanganj more dynamic and transparent. After assuming office, the newly appointed SP said, “My top priority is to maintain law and order in Narayanganj and ensure the safety of its residents. We will work in coordination with the public to prevent
crime, violence, and disorder.” It may be noted that on Wednesday (26 November), ahead of the upcoming national election, the Ministry of Home Affairs appointed new Superintendents of Police in all 64 districts through a lottery- based selection process.
